During the revolution of human society, dress played a vital role as I think. At first, it was just to protect our body from the unstable environment and then we added some flavor of designs to it and the trend of designer costumes began. However, as our topic here is scrubs for men, weve focused basically on the transmutation in medical wears. Even 40 or 50 years ago it was not much vital as people didnt have enough faith on hospitals till then and they used to visit their local doctors for their treatment.

But, you may remember that on those days doctors used to wear with starched coats as their uniform and gradually it become the globally accepted doctors uniform. Even few years ago the trend was unaffected until some hospitals designed the scrubs for men. It is a purely cotton made stylish and of course comfortable dress with two parts top and pajamas. The scrubs for men are basically designed for the medical professionals for better comfort during the working hours.

The costume is specially designed baggy to offer enough air circulation in the body that is very important to offer enough comfort. At the same time the cotton cloth soaks the perspiration of our body and provides a gentle feeling even in high temperature regions. On the other hand, if your hospital is located at any cold atmosphere county, you still can feel comfortable with the scrubs for men as cotton it best for every climate.

Another point that we should not miss here is the fabric content printed on scrubs for men. Art is refreshing for every person; regardless of the community, language or profession. It has enough ability to change our mental state instantly. Thats why garment companies print innovative and attractive designs of fabric on scrubs for men. It gives us instant refreshment and helps to forget every stress within a moment.

It is used more intelligently in the childrens hospitals. You can see the nurses with attractive bright images of flowers, butterflies, fruits etc on their dresses as it attracts children. These designs made on women scrubs helps the nurses to get immediate control on the children came for treatment.

However, its very amazing that scrubs for men very soon grabbed the market and spread in the market as casual wears for common people. People have appreciated the quality of the dress and are using vastly as casual wear. Even women are purchasing women scrubs for home use and other purposes. They are using these for shopping, attending social parties and even as sleeping wears.

I have talked to several women and all said that they liked the comfort and care-free nature of this dress too much. Here I must mention that the cheap cost of the dress also is a vital matter that attracts the women to purchase the women scrubs. There are several online shopping portals that offer scrubs for men at huge discount on different seasons.

But, the persons with uncommon health feel frustrated as hardly any company designs scrubs for men of such sizes. I suggest them to find brands that offer custom made costumes and order to design tailored scrubs for men for you. It might be little costly, but will be best for you from every angle.

Dungeons & Dragons co-creator Gary Gygax dies

Ernest Gary Gygax, co-creator of Dungeons & Dragons, died in his Lake Geneva, Wisconsin home on Tuesday at the age of 69 due to heart problems.

Dave Arneson’s Blackmoor was the first role-playing game, a genre in which players describe their characters in thorough detail and can attempt almost any action the character plausibly could. Gygax, then a close friend of Arneson, worked with him during 1972-73 to develop the extensive set of rules (in this case three volumes) that such a game requires. This became the first edition of Dungeons & Dragons. He also fleshed out the default setting for the game, a “sword-and-sorcery” world inspired primarily by fantasy fiction such as Three Hearts and Three Lions. He then founded TSR Inc. to publish the game; although it was a runaway success, financial difficulties ultimately forced the company to sell itself to Wizards of the Coast, which currently publishes the game and is now a subsidiary of Hasbro.

Although not involved with later editions of D&D, Gygax later worked on other role-playing games and wrote fantasy novels. He also designed niche-market board games.

Dungeons & Dragons is considered a tabletop RPG, since it is played with pen, paper, dice and miniature figures. It inspired other tabletop RPGs (such as GURPS), as well as video RPGs (such as the Final Fantasy series). The most recent form of RPG is the massively-multiplayer online roleplaying game, such as World of Warcraft. An estimated 20 million people worldwide have played the game. Magazines, print and web comics and independent bands have been dedicated to the game, as have thousands of fan websites.

Gygax’s death comes mere months before the scheduled release of the 4th Edition of D&D in June, as well as a scheduled “GM Day” among D&D fans on the internet.

English court jails policeman over insurance fraud

A court in England, UK has jailed a policeman for ten months after he was convicted of defrauding his car insurance company.

Police Constable Simon Hood, 43, arranged for a friend who dealt in scrap metal to dispose of his Audi TT, then claimed it had been stolen.

Hood had been disappointed with the car’s value when he tried to sell it two years after its purchase in 2008. He arranged for friend Peter Marsh, 41, to drive the vehicle to his scrapyard in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk. Marsh then dismantled the vehicle with the intent of disposing of it, but parts were later found wrapped in bubblewrap at Ace Tyre and Exhaust Centre.

Marsh picked up the TT from outside nearby Gorleston police station. Records show mobile phone conversations between the conspirators that day in March, both before and after the vehicle was reported stolen. The pair denied wrongdoing but were convicted of conspiring to commit insurance fraud after trial.

The fraud was uncovered after Hood told former girlfriend Suzanne Coates of the scheme. It was alleged before Norwich Crown Court that he had confessed to her in an effort to resume their relationship. Coates said that after the pseudotheft, Hood told her “he didn’t want to look for it. He said it would be like looking for a needle in a haystack, which I thought was a bit strange.”

You knew throughout your career that policemen that get involved in serious dishonesty get sent to prison

Shortly afterwards Hood suggested they should become a couple once more, she said; she challenged his version of events regarding the car: “He said he did it but I couldn’t tell anyone. He said he did it with Peter. Peter had a key and took the car away and it was going to be taken to bits and got rid of so it was never found.”

Hood was defended by Michael Clare and Marsh by Richard Potts. Both lawyers told the court that their clients had already suffered as a result of the action in mitigation before sentencing. Clare said Hood had resigned from the police after fifteen years of otherwise good service and risked losing his pension. “It is not a case where his position as a police officer was used in order to facilitate the fraud,” he pointed out. “His career is in ruins.” Hood is now pursuing a career in plumbing.

Potts defended Marsh by saying that he, too, had already suffered from his actions. His own insurers are refusing to renew their contract with him when it expires and his bank withdrew its overdraft facility. His business employs 21 people and Potts cited Marsh’s sponsorship of Great Yarmouth In Bloom as amongst evidence he supported his local community.

Judge Alasdair Darroch told Marsh that he did accept the man was attempting to help his friend. He sentenced Marsh to six months imprisonment, suspended for two years and ordered to carry out 250 hours of community service. He was more critical of Hood:

“As a police officer you know the highest possible standards are demanded by the public. You have let down the force. You knew throughout your career that policemen that get involved in serious dishonesty get sent to prison.”

If you are obese or overweight, you may have considered taking a weight loss pill at one time or another. What are the best weight loss pills? They have been around for a long time and every once in a while, there s one that becomes tremendously trendy only to disappear into oblivion. But the question stands. There will always be people who want to know what the best weight loss pills are.

In this article, we will try to think of the answer to this question based on what we know about this most famous weight loss solution.

Despite knowing that the best and safest way to reduce weight and be healthy is to eat right and have regular exercise, many people are still tempted to take the most expedient but not necessarily the most desirable way to do it and that is to pop a diet pill. If you do decide that it s what you want to do yourself, it is important that you understand how they work. It would be best to know what happens after that pill enters your system before you even take it.

Which are the best weight loss pills – prescription or natural?

There are two major types of weight loss pills prescribed and over-the-counter. Prescription weight loss pills are claimed to have been clinically tested to work. If a product like say Xenical claims to block 25% of dietary fats from your meals, those results are clinically proven and approved by official medical organizations that guarantee drug action claimed by manufacturers.

This type of weight loss pills are also known to cause side effects due to the unnatural chemicals they contain. For Xenical in particular, it s diarrhea, oily spotting, oily stools, nausea and others.

Prescription weight loss pills are drugs designed to aid people struggling with obesity. Use of these drugs poses possible dangers to your health as with the case of Xenical. The side effects have been identified and studied. However, if using weight naturally is not an option, then prescribed drugs are probably the best weight loss pills for you.

Weight loss supplements, over-the-counter or natural weight loss pills on the other hand, are not so reliable because not only are the claims often unbelievable, but these same claims are also not backed by clinical studies (which is really not surprising). Thus, it is difficult to know if what you re buying is a real mix of weight loss ingredients or just placebo.

The use of natural or herbal ingredient is another point of concern when it comes to this type of pills. Remember that natural does not mean safe. For a time, the herbal ingredient ma huang or ephedra was a very popular fat burner until the FDA found it to be highly dangerous to the heart and the nervous system. There were in fact, several deaths associated with ephedra which eventually led to its ban.

As far as natural supplements go, the best weight pills are the well-known brands which have been successfully used by many people.

In 2007, Proactol was, without question, the best weight loss pill among the weight loss supplements. This pill is a fat blocker which means that it contains an ingredient that draws fat to itself thereby preventing the fat from being absorbed by the body. By taking Proactol, people who love to eat fatty foods are kept from easily gaining weight. It is important to note however, that a user should also eat right and stay away from fatty foods. This popular pill is acknowledged by both customers and health professionals as an effective and safe weight loss supplement.

Weight loss pills action types

Weight loss pills perform in different ways. Some burn fat, others suppress the appetite and there are even some that block fat. These can either be prescription drugs or natural weight loss pills.

Fat burners work by helping in the breakdown process of fat. The moment it is released from fat cells, fat enters the blood stream as free acids which are then transported to muscle cells where they are burned.

Appetite suppressants induce weight loss by curbing the hunger thereby allowing users to reduce their consumption of fat. Most prescription weigh loss pills are appetite suppressants such as Phentermine, Meridia (sibutramine), and Acomplia, to name a few. The appetite suppressant pill is the oldest type of weight loss solution and many have successfully lost weight from using them.

Appetite suppressants became even more popular with the appearance of Hoodia Gordonii. This herbal ingredient has been celebrated in the media as the breakthrough weight loss ingredient. Among the natural appetite suppressants that have not been thoroughly researched but have been shown to be effective, Hoodia Gordonii is considered the best.

The third type of weight loss pill are the fat blockers. These are fast gaining in popularity because in comparison to other weight loss pills, they are safer and provide certain health benefits. Among the prescription drugs, it is Xenical that has fat blocking action. However, a dieter taking this drug must be sure to follow a sensible dieting regimen that is low in fat.

Alli is a light weight version of Xenical. It also produces similar side-effects. However, many medical professionals do not consider it as one of the best weight loss pills because of its moderate effectiveness and numerous side-effects.

Chitosan is probably the most popular fat blocker used in weight loss pills. Unfortunately, although it does block fat, it requires big amounts of this ingredient to be able to create significant fat loss. Scientific studies have proven that chitosan is not potent enough as a fat blocker.

Weight loss pills continue to remain popular through the decades and this is because they do their work effectively. However, as we have seen, there really is no perfect weight loss pill. If you want to be assured that you are getting a good kind, choose a well-known brand which many people have used with success.

Kennedy Center names 2007 honors recipients

The Kennedy Center announced that its 30th presentation of the Kennedy Center Honors would go to pianist Leon Fleisher, comedian Steve Martin, singer Diana Ross, director Martin Scorsese and musician Brian Wilson. The Center was opened to the public in 1971 and was envisioned as part of the National Cultural Center Act, which mandated that the independent, privately-funded institution would present a wide variety of both classical and contemporary performances, commission the creation of new artistic works, and undertake a variety of educational missions to increase awareness of the arts.

In a statement, Kennedy Center Chairman Stephen A. Schwarzman said that “with their extraordinary talent, creativity and perseverance, the five 2007 honorees have transformed the way we, as Americans, see, hear and feel the performing arts.”

Fleisher, 79, a member of the Peabody Institute‘s music faculty, is a pianist who lost use of his right hand in 1965 due to a neurological condition. He became an accomplished musician and conductor through the use of his left hand. At 67, he regained the use of his right hand. With the advent of Botox therapy, he was once more able to undertake two-hand performances in 2004, his first in four decades. “I’m very gratified by the fact that it’s an apolitical honor,” Fleisher said. “It is given by colleagues and professional people who are aware of what [an artist] has done, so it really is apolitical — and that much more of an honor.”

Martin, 62, a comedian who has written books and essays in addition to his acting and stand-up comedy career, rose to fame during his work on the American television program Saturday Night Live in the 1970’s. Schwarzman praised his work as that of a “renaissance comic whose talents wipe out the boundaries between artistic disciplines.” Martin responded to the honor saying, “I am grateful to the Kennedy Center for finally alleviating in me years of covetousness and trophy envy.”

Ross, 63, was a product of Detroit‘s Brewster-Douglass Projects when as a teeager she and friends Mary Wilson and Florence Ballardis formed The Supremes, a ground-breaking Motown act. She portrayed singer Billie Holiday in the 1972 film Lady Sings the Blues, which earned her an Oscar nomination and a Golden Globe award. “Diana Ross’ singular, instantly recognizable voice has spread romance and joy throughout the world,” said Schwarzman. Ross said she was “taken aback. It is a huge, huge honor and I am excited to be in this class of people.”

Scorsese, 64, is one of the most accomplished directors the United States ever produced, whose work includes Mean Streets, Taxi Driver, GoodFellas, Cape Fear, The Last Temptation of Christ and The Departed, for which he won a 2006 Academy Award for Best Director after being nominated eight times. Scorsese said, “I’m very honored to be receiving this recognition from the Kennedy Center and proud to be joining the company of the very distinguished individuals who have received this honor in years past.”

Wilson, 65, along with his brothers Dennis and Carl, formed the Beach Boys in 1961. They had a series of hits that included “Surfin’ U.S.A.” and “Wouldn’t It Be Nice.” Their 1966 album Pet Sounds is considered one of the most influential recordings in American music. “This is something so unexpected and I feel extremely fortunate to be in the company of such great artists,” said Wilson, who is currently on tour.

The Kennedy Center’s board of trustees is responsible for selecting honorees for “lifetime contributions to American culture through the performing arts.” Previous honorees, including Elton John and Steven Spielberg, also submitted recommendations. A wide variety of people were under consideration, including Emanuel Ax, Evgeny Kissin, Renee Fleming, Laurence Fishburne, Francis Ford Coppola, Melissa Etheridge and Kenny Chesney.

President Bush and first lady Laura Bush will attend the center’s presentation at its opera house on December 2, 2007, which will broadcast on December 26 on CBS.

Words from the wise never had a cryptic meaning until the Navajo ‘Code Talkers,’ later romanticized by the movie Wind Talkers, became the saving secret code during World War II. Recently, the National World War II Museum in New Orleans, were honored by a visit from four Navajo Code Talkers. Their native tongue foiled the Japanese attempts to further assault Americans after the attack on Pearl Harbor.

Samuel Tso, Bill Toledo, Frank Chee Willetto and Keith Little, Navajo Code Talkers, enlisted in the war to defend and protect America, finding themselves to be members of the nations’ secret weapon during WWII. Enraged by the attack on Pearl Harbor, many Navajos enlisted to join the fight. A select group of Marines adapted a version of their native language to protect our communications. It was very successful. The Japanese never cracked the code. It was the unique weapon of the Navajo Indians, an unwritten language.

24 Navajo code Talkers were attached to the Third Marine Division serving from Guadal Canal to Iwo Jima and beyond. 8 Indian soldiers served in the U.S. Army Africa in the 168th Infantry, 34th Division 17 Comanche soldiers in Europe , in the 4th Signal company, 4th Infantry Division

The idea of using this almost archaic language came from Philip Johnston, a World War I Veteran who grew up in a Navajo Reservation as a missionary’s son. Johnston, a non-Navajo, who spoke the unwritten language, believed this was an undecipherable code. He was right! ‘It was a weapon for which they (Japanese) could never find an answer,’ remarked 84 year, old, Code Talker, Frank Chee Willetto while in New Orleans recently. The idea of using a foreign language was not novel, but Johnston knew the Navajos spoke English and a native tongue that no Germans, Japanese or any other enemy combatants knew existed or could be researched. The Navajo language never played such a significant role in American history until they provided secure authenticated oral communications to prevent eavesdropping. There was a company of Indian soldiers in France during WWI in the 142nd Infantry Regiment, 36th Division, who spoke 26 languages and dialects.

Code talkers were deployed September 1942 on Guadalcanal in the 3th Marine Division operating six Navajo radio nets sending more than 800 messages without error. They were responsible for the message that Marines had reached the summit of Mt. Suribachi, where the famous flag-raising took place. The flag-raising is memorialized as a statue in Washington, D.C. No coded messages were ever interpreted. Many English words did not translate in Navaho. For example, Commanding General was Bih Keh He; Warrior Chief, or Commanding Officer was Hash Kay Gi Na Tah, also translated as Warrior Chief. They had a sense of humor too. Tkele Cho G was jackass, whomever they were referring to.

The new technology of Navajo Code Talking was not accepted readily by their superiors until evidenced that their ‘talk’ was decoded faster than others. The Navajos were more efficient, but had to prove themselves. American Indians have served in the United States Military with distinction for the past 200 years. Their courage, determination and fighting spirit were recognized by American military leaders as early as the 18th century. During WWII their distinction as changing the course of the war wasn’t acknowledged immediately after the war ended. Their work remained classified until 2002 when Congress passed the Code Talker’s Recognitionj Act. President Bush had thanked them at a ceremony at the Capitol Rotunda, on July 26, 2001 in which they were awarded the Congressional Gold Medal. The National Cryptologic Museum in Fort Meade, Maryland has a co de talker exhibit. They have a rightful place in the new International Spy Museum in Washington, D.C. These WWII Navajo warriors have come to be known as, ‘The Sons of the Land of Enchantment’.

Men isolated to mimic Mars flight

Following a similar experiment in 2009, six men entered an enclosed room in Moscow last Thursday to simulate a flight to Mars. The Mars-500 team consist of a Chinese man, a Frenchman, an Italian, and three Russians. Only the Chinese man, Wang Yue, is a trained astronaut. The six waved goodbye, crying “see you in 520 days’ time!”.

According to Wang, not being able to see their families and friends was one of the greatest challenges, although e-mail is allowed during the experiment. Both Wang and the Frenchman, Romain Charles, expressed pride to be part of this experiment. Wang said, “it will be trying for all of us. We cannot see our family, we cannot see our friends, but I think it is all a glorious time in our lives.”

The joint-effort project is being organised by the Russian Institute for Biomedical Problems (IBMP) and the European Space Agency; the goal is to study physical and psychological effects on would-be astronauts. All six men speak reasonable English; however, as Russian is another primary language for the simulated trip, Russian crew member Sukhrob Kamolov said body language will be used should they fail to understand one another.

Food for the volunteers will be rationed as it would in a real Mars mission. All supplies were supplied by China and loaded into the ‘simulated spacecraft’ prior to the beginning of the experiment. For backup, China is sending three mission support staff to Russia.

No women are included in the crew, excluding issues relating to a mixed-sex crew from the study. During a similar experiment in 1999, a woman complained that the captain attempted to kiss her.

Following 250 days of “travelling” to Mars, the group will split. Three will stay in the “spacecraft”, the other three going to the surface of “Mars”. Only two will actually leave the “spacecraft” to study the surface of “Mars”. After a month, the group will go through the return journey simulation, a 240 day trip. The men will follow a strict timetable, with 8 hours each of sleep, work, and leisure each day.
